Venture Gear director Noel Herman is based in Whangarei, north of Auckland, but travels regularly to mountain areas throughout New Zealand.

Noel has more than 30 years of experience in the outdoors, where he has been a keen hiker, caver, mountaineer, kayaker and abseiler.

He has been head of Northland's Search and Rescue organisation for much of that time, and has been involved in Scouting for many years as well.

A keen photographer, Noel has provided all of the photos in this website.

He values the many friendships that develop through a common interest in the outdoors.

And he is always planning his next adventure...
